Driftwood Santas

I know Hallowe’en isn’t even here yet, but it’s never too early to start thinking about your Christmas decorations and ornaments. Marg has been busy since late August hand-painting her famous Driftwood Santa Christmas ornaments to get ready for the coming season. We’re ready to release them online, so go ahead and browse the shop page and see if you can find something you like!

Marg will be at several Christmas craft fairs throughout the greater Victoria, BC area this season, but don’t wait – last year we nearly sold out by December. Come See Us in Esquimalt this Weekend!

This weekend, Marg will be at her first craft fair of the season. It is the 32nd annual Esquimalt Arts and Crafts Society “Naturally Christmas” Sale and it runs from 10 am to 4 pm November 22nd and 23rd, at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser Street.

If you’ve been thinking about buying our Santa ornaments, giant wall-sized Santas or snowmen online but want to see them in person before buying and pick and choose the most unique pieces, this is your first opportunity of the season.

Sales have been brisk on the website and by word of mouth, and we only have a limited supply (we’re making them as fast as we can!) so drop on by.

Hi everyone! It’s getting closer to that wonderful time of year! I just finished uploading some new, exciting hand-made Christmas decorations and ornaments to the products page! Marg has been hard at work painting GIANT DRIFTWOOD SANTAS! These unique pieces of art are perfect for hanging on a wall, your front door, or your fireplace mantel. They range in size from about 12-20″ (30-50cm) long and about 4-6″ (10-15cm) wide, so these are big items that would look wonderful under the tree as a gift, too! I’m sure you’ll love them.

We also started using a couple of different colours on the Santas this past week. I picked out a beautiful dark blue colour and some silver for the hats; it really shines! Check out the new giant and dark blue Santas:

Since opening the shop yesterday, we’ve had about 200 people visit the site so far. Probably mostly friends and family checking it out, but we also had our first two sales yesterday through PayPal – it’s good to know that the system works. Web Guru Tim has also fixed (I think) the 404 (Page not Found) error that people were getting after purchasing through PayPal.

Please, let us know if you have any difficulties with the system – This is our first attempt at an online shop, so there are bound to be a few bugs to work out.

Marg is just finishing up some more Sweat-Sock Snowmen, and soon we’ll have some of the Giant Driftwood Santas for sale online. These amazing pieces are up to 2.5 feet long and are suitable for hanging on your wall, on the front door, or on your mantel (or just a really really big Christmas tree).
